Show Fourth Ward Staging Easter Cantata Next Friday Night, March 29 The Fourth Vard choir under the direction of their chorister, Miss Ann Chiijm.an, are staging an Easter Cantata Can-tata next Friday evening, March 29, in their ward chapel, to which the public is invited. It is "The Resurrection Song" for church choirs of mixed voices written writ-ten by Roy E. Kolte. Some of the songs taken from this beautiful cantata can-tata include the following well known selections: "Christ, the Lord, is Risen;" "Hear Ye The Story;" "Hail, King of the Jews;" "Father, Forgive Me;" "As It Began to Dawn;" "Awake, Thou That Sleepest" and others. Among the feature singers who have prominent roles in this cantata are some of the leading vocalists in the community: Mrs. Ora II. Chip-man, Chip-man, Mrs. Delta Taylor, Mrs. Lyle Grant, Mrs. Nan Wright, Mrs. lone Russon, Mrs. Helen Walker, Jack' Butte, Kenneth Robinson, Leo T. Hansen and Moral D. Steele. Miss Ann Chipman, whose worth is known as a chorister and director, bas charge of its presentation. Through her untiring efforts and the splendid support of the choir, a real treat is promised for music lovers lov-ers in the form of this production. Miss Lois Greenwood, talented young pianst, is accompanist. The support of the community is solicited as well as that of the ward. A small fee will bo charged to defray 'he expenses. |
