Show Cedar City Couple Exchange Vows In First Baptist Church Miss Helen Ruth Albrecht and " Lyle Backus were united in marriage mar-riage Saturday, March 20. Set-. Set-. ting for the double-ring cere-, cere-, mony was the First Baptist Church in Cedar. Reverend Med-ford Med-ford Hutson officiated. TarenU of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Albrecht and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Backus, Cedar City. The newlyweds were honored at a reception held the evening of their wedding in the Baptist Church recreation halt. The bride greeted guests in an original gown made by her mother. The dress was styled to full length with lace-over satin top caught to a circular head-piece. She held a cascade bouquet of white glamelias on a white bible. Bridesmaid for the nuptials was Miss Tilly Stewart. She wore a white lace dress with pink underskirt under-skirt and carried a pink heart-shaped heart-shaped pillow adorned with pink roses. Best man was Jimmy Dunnway and Ray Lee was an usher. Hostess at the reception was Shirley Lee. Ruby Seagler was guest book attendant. After a honeymoon trip In southern Utah, the couple plan to move to San Diego where Mr. Backus is stationed with the US Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Backus Mr. Edward Grimm, a commer-Hal commer-Hal Air Lines pilot for United Air Lines, was recently In Cedar City visiting with his mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Haslam. He was here from his home in West DunDee, 111., where he lives with his wife, the former Norma Williams, and their four children, Linda, Jackie, Shirley and David. While visiting visit-ing in Cedar City. Mr. Grimm also enjoyed seeing Mrs. Robert (Zoe) Palmer and Mr. Pratt Be-thers. Be-thers. Mr. Grimm is a former student of Mrs. Palmer and Mr. Bethers; he graduated from Cedar Ce-dar City High School and attended attend-ed BAC (now CSU) before becoming be-coming employed by United Air Lines. Mr. Grimm received his pilot's license when he was 16 years old. He is presently flying a 49 passenger Jet for United. |
