Show Forest Service Vet To Retire in April 1 Iv- ;A v - - T. EARL WORTHINGTON T. Earl Worthington of Panguitch Pan-guitch will retire from the U. S. Forest Service in April, completing complet-ing 36 years Government service; thirty of these years being under Civil Service. Mr. Worthington began his career ca-reer in Government service in 1926 on the Uinta National Forest where he served sixteen years. He then transferred to the Grazing Graz-ing Service as a grazier in the Moab and Vernal areas. In 1948, Mr. Worthington joined the National Na-tional Park Service at Arches National Monument in Moab where he was engaged as Park Ranger. A highlight of this tour of duty was his designation as guide for the National Geographic Geogra-phic Expedition into Monument Valley. He then transferred to Mesa Verde National Park at Mesa Verde as Supervisory Park Ranger where he served five and one-half years. Since 1956, Mr. Worthington has been with the Dixie National Nation-al Forest as a Construction and Maintenance Supervisor working out of the Supervisor's Office at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Worthington plan to make their home in Nephl later this year. The Worthing-tons Worthing-tons have two daughters, Mrs. Paul Bull of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Alice who is on the nursing staff of the LDS Hospital in Provo. |
