Show o H UTAH FIRE CLAY. I Among the numerous industries of H the state we have the largest Fire H Clay works in the inter-mountain H country in the Utah Fire Clay Co. H The works cover an area of five acres over which arc scattered the H various buildings for manufacturing H their products. There eight kilns I three drying rooms for sewer pipe H alone. (A' machinery building and H engine room to furnish the power it H grinding clay and making brick. H The kilms have a daily capacity of H 10,000 fire brick and 5000 sewer pipe H In addition to sewer pipe and brick, H this company also manufacture drain H tile, crucibles and assaycr supplies. H At present they arc furnishing the H brick for the Judd building. H They employ on the average of 60 -fl men daily, 35 at the clay works and H they operate their own mines, employ- H ing rbout 25 men there. H |
