Show "THE VANDERBILT CUP." "?; ' ? That much herald musical come- I dy, "The Vanderbilt Cup," comes to f the Salt Lake Theatre for all next week. It had a tremendous run of eight months at the Broadway Theatre, Theat-re, New York, and ran for Ihrce months at the Colonial Theatre, in Chicago. It is said to be a delightfully delight-fully clever satire on the Smart Set and their motor enthusiasm, and to fairlv scintillate with sparkling dialogue dia-logue and witty epigrams in automobile auto-mobile language. The play at the Salt Lake Theatre is promised with all the elaborateness of detail and wealth of stage settings which distinguished dis-tinguished its metropolitan run. Beautiful Beau-tiful music, novel dances, and a score of Broadway's famous beauties in the smartest of automobile oggery, will be in evidence. The songs which made the hits in New York and Chicago, Chi-cago, "The Little Chauffeur," "Somewhere "Some-where in the World," "The Light that Lies in Girlish Eyes" and "My Houseboat House-boat Beau," will likely be whistled and sung here, as they are said to be "catchy." The cast is a big one, and includes nearly all the principals who created the leading roles in New York. |
