The parent-Teachers association held their meeting in the East Ward chapel Thursday evening. President and Mrs. Dan Olsen presiding. pres-iding. Professor Snell of the Snow .ollcge delivered a lecture subject. The meaning of education and intellegant corporation between parents and teachers. teach-ers. Joel Jensen also of the Snow College Col-lege sang two solos. Vice President, Urvin Gee gave a talk on establishing a kindergarten class in Moroni. The following committee was appointed appoin-ted to work up' a' kindergarten, Cleon Anderson, Vernile Jensen, Mrs. Heber Christensen, Mrs. Ralph Christensen, Mrs. L. W. Christensen and Mrs. ELis Draper. Another project was talked up, that of transporation of College students to and from Snow College and other schools. Mr. Heber Christensen and Ray Blackham were chosen to act on this committee. We hope that parents in Moroni will support these committees, and also the officers of this organization organiza-tion and do their bit tor the benefit oi the community and advancement of our children. The Sorosis Club held their annual party and entertained their husbands at the high school building Thursday evening. The color scheme carried out were red and white. The centerpiece was red and white carnations. 1 The banquet was served at 8:30 to fifty guests. The decorations were beautiful and very fitting for the occasion. Mrs. Reba Draper President of the club gave a speech of welcome, Mrs. 1 Alligee Anderson acted as toast mistress : After supper progressive rook was enjoyed en-joyed by all, Prizes won by Mrs. Leona Irons, Mrs. Beth Olsen, Joe Prestwitch and James Larsen, all members were present except two. A double header basket ball game was played Friday night at the High school, Moroni and North Sanpete the score was 22-23 in favor of Moroni Moroni Junior High ana Fountain Green Juniors score was 13-14 in favor of Fountain Green. Bishop and Mrs. Daniel Anderson have returned home after spending the winter at Saint George. Mrs. Anderson is improving in health. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lamb, from Garfield. Utah are visiting relatives and friends they are the guests of Mrs. Lamb's parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Peterson. Mrs. Laura Tidwell was called tc Provo last week to attend the funeral of her niece and also the illness of hei brother Bub Draper. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Price of Wales, are rejoicing over the arrivalof a babj girl at their1 home. All concerned are doing nicely. Word was just received of the death of Bub Draper of Provo formerly ol Moroni. |
