Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Ms. G. C. Loofbourrow, Mrs. W. M. Thome and Mrs. Thomas Jones were hostesses to the Womens missionary Society Tuesday at the Jones home. Mrs. Thome conducted devotionals. The lesson, "New Paths for old Pur- puses," was given by Miss Helen S Rounds and Miss Eva Langdon. Officers were elected for the ensuing year as follows: President, Mrs. Millie-Berkhimer; Millie-Berkhimer; vice president, Mrs. J. W Locke; secretary. Miss Helen K. Peterson; Peter-son; missionary treasurer, Mrs. G. C. Loofbourow, local treasurer, Mrs. E. W. Wall; The new officers will assume their duties April 1. The Society will meet March 6 with Mrs. M. E. Jenser, Mrs. Ronald Brandon and Mrs. B. A. Rosebrough as hostesses.' Mrs. Anthon W. Madsen entertained at her home Tuesday evening at an English Tea in honor of the anniversary anniver-sary of her birth. There were about twenty guests including relatives and neighbors who enjoyed tbje evening social. Mrs. Madsen received some tokens in rememberance of the day. It was a source of pleasure to Mrs. Madsen to carry out an English cus- , torn at this particular time. Attorney C. W. Burquist of this city just returned from the County Seat where he spent the last few days trans- acting business for his clients. : The O. S. A. club met last Friday at the home of Mrs. C. T. Madsen at which time a pleasant social hour was enjoyed. The rooms were decorated ' !n keeping with valentine and the club sent a letter to Mrs. Arthur! Jensen, a member of the club who is at" a hospital , ,n Salt Lake. Mrs. Jensen is improv-E improv-E ing. Music was enjoyed and Mrs. Wm. Hansen reviewed a. story. |
