Show Ray Aldrich Is Severely Injured In Auto Crash Young Man Was Victim of Inexperienced In-experienced Girl Driver Coming Com-ing In With a Disasterous Head-on Collision. Ray Aldrich, 19, son of O. M. Aldrich of this place, suffered a fractured skull; Wilma Neff, 17, and Elmo Brady of Fairview, were severely hurt and several sev-eral other young people were cut by flying fly-ing glass in an automobile accident one half mile south of Fairview Saturday Sat-urday night shortly after 9 o'clock. Ray Aldrich, accompanied by Wendell Wall and Gordon Staker, wtre going to Fairview in a Dodge touring car, when a Ford sedan which contained Aaron Shepherd, Elmo Brady, Elme Mower, Elmo Ollerton and Wilma Neff, Fairview young people who were bound for Mount Pleasant to attend the Junior high school prom came towards them. Ray turned out to the side of the road against the barrow pit, but inexperienced driving by a girl in the Ford was disasterous and a terrible head on crash was the result. It is reported that the girl had never driven a car before. While all of the parties were more or less bruised and cut, only one was seriously ser-iously injured. The cars were almost demolished The Ford seemed to hit and climb up on top of the Dodge. Ray was taken by his parents to a Salt Lake hospital Sunday and expectations expec-tations are held out for his recovery. At this writing we are informed that Ray is beginning to rally and has talked talk-ed to his mother who has been a constant con-stant visitor at his side. |
