Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam Orrock of Og-drn Og-drn were Mount Pleasant visitors this week. They came here to attend the funeral of John Stanfleld. Mr. and Mrs. Rob Wilson and son Bobbie from Chilley Idaho, was visiting with his sister Mrs. Laura Rosenlof this week. Mrs. S. M. Ericksen and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard J. Seely entertained the Service Sar Legion at the Ericksen home Friday Fri-day afternoon. Mrs. J. W. Cherry of Salt Lake City, president of the Utah-Wyoming Utah-Wyoming Service Star Legion, was the honor guest and gave an interesting and valuable talk to those present. Other parts on the program were readings. Miss Faye Jensen, piano solo, Mrs. J. F. Larsen. The Delphian- Literary Society of Wasatch Academy presented an excellent excel-lent program before the student body Thursday, consisting of music by Miss Lydia Nielson and a one act play, "Dr. Quack, Quack," with the following case, Fred Deschner, Owen Owens, Miss Mary Mullins. Glen Williams, Miss Edna Truscott, Kenneth Cavenah, Duane Brough, Dee Bertelsen, De Lo-rus Lo-rus Stark, Miss Thelma Hill, Miss Delia Marsine and Stuart Freece. The play was directed by M. L. Dreeseman and Miss Marguerite Blain. Critics report, E. M. Smithpeter. Wasatch Academy will enter the B. Y. U. State Contest of one act plays, to be held at Provo in March. The play, "Suppressed Desires" will be presented pre-sented by Donald Danwalder as Steven Brewster, Donna Seybold as Henrietta Brewster, and Wilhelmina Steckelman as Mabel. Miss Madge Muchmore will conduct the play. Mrs. Grant Olsen entertained fifteen little guests at her home Tuesday afternoon after-noon in honor of her little daughter, Betty Arline's fourth birthday, i Mrs. I. E. Jorgensen. Miss Helen and Jordan Jorgensen of Price were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Jordan during the week. Mr. Jorgensen has been selected as Cashier of the Commercial Bank at Green River. The bank has recently been purchased by the Price Commercial & Savings Bank. Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Gill and Mrs. F. C. Jensen entertained at dinner Saturday Satur-day for Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Wall. Mrs. C. T. Madsen was hostess to the O. S. A. club Friday afternoon. James Bergera, Lawrence Bottinc and Miss Melba Tavlor of Helper were week end visitors with friends at Wasatch Wa-satch Academy. |
