She was born May 7, 1910 in Henifer, Utah, a daughter of Charles S. and Clara Ann Jones Toone. She married Owen Glen-dale Glen-dale Hughes, June 21, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away July 5, 1969. She was a member of the LDS Church, Bountiful 33rd Ward, serving as a Relief Society president, presi-dent, president of the MIA, and had served as a Sunday School teacher. She had served as secretary secret-ary of the North Summit High School, as secretary of the Utah State Extension Service, Salt Lake Hardware, and assistant clerk to the Davis County Commissioners. She was a past president of the South Davis Junior High PTA. Surviving are one son, three daughters; Mark Owen Hughes, Magna; Mrs. Blaine (Gwen) Law, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Mrs. Richard (Beth) Moran, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; Jane Hughes, Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Louise Bell, Mesa, Ariz.
