Show Miss Evelyn Hawkins arrived Saturday from Provo to remain in St. George with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hawkins until the end of September when she will return to attend the B. Y. U. Woodruff W. Cannon and daughter, daugh-ter, Elaine, made a trip to Salt Lake City last Sunday, Elaine remaining to visit with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arley Flinders and baby. Mrs. Cannon who has been with the Flinders, for a month returned with Mr. Cannon Tuesday. M. C "W" W Mr. and Mrs. Warren Cox left this (Thursday) morning for Salt Lake City to visit Mr. and 'Mrs. Wm. H. Prince and family. Mrs. Prince is . to undergo serious major 'surgery this week. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Cox will 'leave this evening. -v.. J- -V-I 'l- 1.' 'l- Mr. and Mrs. David J. Mrs. Darwin Dailey entertained her Rook club last Saturday night at the home Of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bentley. Haight and daughter, Mary Leone, visited over Saturday and Sunday at the home of Supt. and Mrs. Milton E. Mocv. Mrs. Haight and Mrs. Moody are sisters. They returned to CedaT City Monday accompanied accom-panied by Miss Beverly Moody, who will spend the week with them. ' W. B. Mathis left "Wednesday for his ranch on the Arizona Strip. v. M. A v ; 'if 'f Mr. and Mrs. Russell J. Standing Stand-ing -and family arrived last week from San Bernardino to make their home in St. George. They have purchased the former laundry laun-dry business of the Marshall family and plan to open that place in the near future. Mrs. Reed Blake entertained the Hostess Sewing Circle Tuesday evening honoring "Mrs. H. A. Sutton, Sut-ton, who is leaving shortly with her husband to make their home in Salt Lake City. A swim at the Municipal pool was followed by a weiner roast on Mt. Hope. Several other entertainments are being planned for the Suttons. .11. -V- .V- 'if -W Mrs. Glenn M. Webb and daughter daugh-ter of Hurricane called at the News office Monday. The family returned recently from Salt Lake City where Mr. Webb has been attending school and working through the summer. He will resume re-sume his teaching at Hurricane. They reported that their mother, Mrs. William 'Webb is recovering from her recent serious illness, and that their grandmother, Ann C. J. Milne, nearing 97, is in good health and sent greetings to her many friends and relatives here. ...
