Show WATER RIGHTS NEAR BRIGHAM PERMANENT BRIGHAM CITY April 16. Secondary Second-ary water rights to the Hammond canal, ca-nal, Jiave been made permanent to rarmcYs since the Utah-Idaho Sugar company has acquired the canal. The company provided for this arangemeut under which all the water has been sold. The contract further provides that where the rights are made permanent, perma-nent, water users will pay $7.50 additional, addi-tional, and will accept a charge of $.150 per acre annual maintenance. Under the present arrangements, farmers will have a permanent water right and in case their crops are damaged dam-aged by water shortage, can hold the company responsible, it Is said. Tho change assures plenty of water for the east side canal, It is stated. |
