OCR Text	Show Service Star Legion Plants Memorial Tree i I Owiug to the storm Thursday, the services for the Irep planting by tlio members of the Local Chapter of the Service Star Legion, were somewhat shortened. The tree planting took place at 3:o0 o'clock Ln Lester park, and was largely attended by both members of the Service Star Legion, as well as the members of the Gold Star boys. j Mayor Frank Francis gave a short talk, when the tree was set. The names of the sixty-eight members of the Gold Star boys were read, and Rev. Christian R. Garver gave the dedicatory prayer. Mrs. J. U. Eldredge, Jr.. conducted the tree planting' ceremonies. cere-monies.
