Show Gen. Wood Decides to Remain on Leave CHICAGO, April 1G. Major General Leonard Wood, commander of the cen tral department, who arrived here today to-day from the east, announced that since the strike situation seemed improved im-proved he would remain on leave for the present. He cancelled a speakine tour in Boston Tuesday to hurry back tc headquarters because of the railroad rail-road strike situation. He had been on a ninety-day leave of absence to campaign for the Republican presidential presiden-tial nomination. oo |
