On Jan. 1 Sister Mary Bernadette, formerly of the Sisters' Hospital. Billings, Bil-lings, was installed as Superior of St. Patrick's Parochial school. Sister Bar-nadette Bar-nadette has seen many years of school I work and has been superior of several houses of the order in various parts of the west. Being a woman of tac'i and culture she will surely meet with warm co-operation in her work fror.i Butte people. The retiring superior, Sister Mary Xavier. although in office for only four months, displayed ai ability and influence apparent in the excellent discipline and running order of the institution. A woman of energy, depth of mind and scholarly tastes, she was one of the few capable of moulding mould-ing and bringing forth the manly points of a boy's character, and implanting1 that carriage and strength of purpose that ever characterizes the "man among men." The permanent removal of Sifter Xavier from St. Patrick"! would mean a serious breach in the walls of educational influence and pro gross. To the new superior The Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Catholic extends greetings and best wishes for future success. |
