Show LAPOINT Mrs. Mabel Jenkins Bishop Honored At Birthday Party Mrs. L. J. Walker gave a birthday birth-day dinner last Sunday' in honor of her husband, Bishop L. J. Walker, Walk-er, at her home.. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Reed Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Oborn Walker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Walker and family, all from Midvale; a sister,, Mrs. Stella Searland and daughter, Sue, of South America; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Morrill and family from Tridell; Mr. and' Mrs. Leo Walker and family from Vernal; Mr and Mrs. Elroy Walker and family from Lapoint. Mrs. L. J. Walker and daughter, daugh-ter, Paulett, are caring for Geo. Bigelow's store while they are on their vacation. - Mr. and Mrs. Art Curtis and son, Timmie from Richfield were overnight guests of Bishop and Mrs. L. J. Walker and family Wednesday Wed-nesday night. They are former residents frorri Lapoint. Mr. and Mrs. William Vaughn of Billings, Montana spent their vacation with Mrs Vaughn's mother, Mrs. Pearl Labrum, and sisters, ' Joyce and Twila. Mr. Vaughn returned to his home and Mrs. Vaughn will spend' some time with her mother and family. Mr. and Mrs Fred Neumeyer went to Ogden Monday' and were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Neumeyer. Carol Justice has gone to Eugene, Eu-gene, Missouri to spend the summer sum-mer with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Schubert and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich and daughter, Charlotte, have moved to Sweet Water, Colo, for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Harrison ted with anu lanuiy vl ii ., - his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, and were dinner guests Tuesday evening. Mr and Mrs. Elmo Lee and children from Lehi were guests of his mother, Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lee and spent Memorial Day. Mrs Martha Joke returned to her home in San Francisco after spending the winter and spring months with her children. Mr and Mrs. Elmer Bell of Salt Lake City spent a few-days with Mr and Mrs. George Bigelow. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Perry and children of Drager- t0Mrs Geraldine Meyer and children chil-dren from Salt Lake and Mrs. Ramona Hansen from Provo spent Memorial Day here. The little Indian boy, Tom Van Winkler, after spending the school months with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Caldwell, returned to his home in Saw Mill, Arizona, to be with his parents. GOING AWAY PARTY The MIA gave a going away' party for Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Horrocks and family, May 26. Mr and Mrs. Rodney Horrocks and Roy Hatch visited last week in Layton with Mrs. Horrocks sister Mrs. Owen Jones, a daughter daugh-ter to Mr. Hatch, who is now in California visiting his daughter, Mrs. Pamela Goad. Mr and Mrs. Richard Lowe and children from Salt Lake City, spent Memorial Day with Mrs. t Turonts Mr and Mrs. LUWt 3 jymw. , Thurmer Rasmussen and family. " Darris Rasmussen from the BYU and Earlene Warburton of the USAC are home on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Alt Blackburn and son, Kimmie from Sunnyside spent last Sunday with Mr. and ivno ivue jiiav."" Mr. and Mrs. Huber have moved into their new house. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Horrocks from Salt Lake City visited his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks. Hor-rocks. PARTY IS HELD A farewell party was given Friday Fri-day evening for Elder Larry Huber, Hub-er, who is leaving soon to fill a mission for the LDS church. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Cochran and children from' Thremopolis, Wyoming, spent the weekend with Mrs. Cochran's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawren Caldwell and family. |
