Show MIA MAID FESTIVAL Stake Mia Maid Spring Festival was held a"t Mt. Emmons chapel May 28. A talent program was presented pre-sented with each ward taking part. All the mothers were served from clever baskets with a rose on tht handle. Presentation of certificates and pins were made. Miss Lulu Farnsworth of Salt Lake City visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs Lindon Farnsworth on Memorial day and stayed through the weekend, attending the wedding wed-ding dance at Bluebell. Grant Mohlman went to Salt Lake City and received his apprentice ap-prentice license from the Salt Lake I Area Vocational Barber college. Moon Lake Stake Beehive girls held a swarm night Tuesday. Mrs. Leonard Wall was awarded a quilt made by the Stake officers and teachers. This token was given Mrs. Wall for overs 18 years service ser-vice in MI A' work. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Lyard McConkie and family spent Memorial day in Roosevelt and Vernal. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins accompanied them. The Mt. Emmons ladies chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Grant Hansen, met for a regular weekly practice Monday at 2 p.m. A new system of dues collecting was discussed dis-cussed and adopted. After the usual hour of singing the company went to the home of Mrs. Jewell. Kolb where birthday cake and ice cream were served. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Farnsworth and family and Dee Farnsworth visited in Roosevelt and Altamont one day last week. Dee is on vacation va-cation from Dixie College where he plans to continue his studies this fall. |
