Show JJoka Violet Gentry Bertha Angus HONORED AT RECEPTION The reception given Tuesday night for Mr. and Mrs. Jay Gates was a lovely affair. Mrs. Gates is the former Cheryl Drollinger and was one of the graduates from Union High School, class of '56. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon of Ioka, spent Memorial Day with Mrs. Virgil Mecham and family of Hancock Cove. Mrs Archie Benson left by plane Tuesday morning for Grand Junction, after hearing of the arrival ar-rival of a new grandchild, born to Mr. and Mrs. Theron Benson, her son and daughter in-law. Mr and Mrs. Doyal Lloyd and children left Saturday morning for a vacation trip to California, where they will visit Mrs. Lloyd's mother and other relatives-Ralph relatives-Ralph Scott of Provo, came in Saturday to get his wife and small son, who have been visiting-the visiting-the past two weeks with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Per-cival. Per-cival. Neil Percival of Provo accompanied ac-companied Mr- Scott and they all left Sunday for home. Joe Bokfen and his mother, accompanied ac-companied by his sister and husband, hus-band, Mr. and Mrs. Wardel of Salt Lake City, were here for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. ' Johnny Peterson and children from Jordan and Mrs. Lois Goodrich and children, Mrs. Johnny Lambert and children of Altamont were here Wednesday also. Zelma Lloyd, who has been in the LDS Hospital, has gone to her son, Gam Lloyd's home to rest before returning home. Mrs. John Angus attended the Dance Festival in Duchesne Monday Mon-day evening, where two of her granddaughters took leading parts. Her granddaughter, Ena Rae Re-mund, Re-mund, returned with her Tuesday and visited until Thursday when her parents, Mr. and Mrs Glen Remund came and took her home. |
