Show Church Notes The Neola Sunday evening program pro-gram was sponsored by the Sunday Sun-day School. They gave a short program and played a recording of a talk by Pres. David O. McKay' Mc-Kay' on Reverence. A large crowd attended Testimony Testi-mony services Sunday. The Primary was reorganized with President Irene Henrie and counselors being released. Laura Dye was sustained as president and she chose as her counselors the same ones that worked' with Mrs. Henrie, Melba Eksund and Bernetta Duncan. Mrs. Henrie will work at the hospital as a nurse. Ferris and Lazell Henrie made a recent trip to Pocatello, Idaho to see their half-sister who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gardner and Parta OLsen traveled to Provo, Payson and Indianola on Memorial Memor-ial Day. Relatives who attended the wedding and reception of Miss Clara Kay Timothy and Jackie Burgess, Saturday evening at Roosevelt were, Mrs. Mrs. Duane Hancock and son, Lee, and Jerry Timothy, a cousin of Kay's, all from Salt Lake, Mrs. Parta Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Dellis Spencer and daughter, GeraWine Powell. . Bishop Richard D. Olsen performed per-formed the marriage ceremony for Kay and Jackie. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olsen and children motored to Salt Lake one day last week to visit with Mrs. Olsen's parents and other relatives. rela-tives. They brought Mrs. Olsen's father, Thomas Todd home with them. He returned to Salt Lake Sunday with Dellis Spencer. They held a Scout Court of Honor in Neola Sunday afternoon. Deanne Asay went to Salt Lake last week for a couple of days. She brought back a cousin Gene Johnson, who plans on staying for the summer at the Asay home. After decorating graves on Memorial Day, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Olsen held an outing for relatives in honor of Lervill Ol- . sen and family from Salt Lake. , There were 46 adults and children in attendance and several of the adults and children went swim- ' ming after lunch in a large pond that Clifford has built. Don and Nita Horrocks and three small sons have moved back home in Neola. Don has been going to the USAC for -the past year. GOING TO SALT LAKE Miss Dorothy Petersen, who has recently returned from the East Canadian mission, plans on leaving leav-ing soon for Salt Lake City, where she will be employed by the Fred E. Morton Insurance Co. Dorothy was employed at this place before going on her mission. |
