Show CLOSING SOCIAL AND FAREWELL PARTY Thirty women of the Relief Society So-ciety attended the closing social on Tuesday, May 29. A program was given and a skit was presented present-ed with Dorothy Kettle, Ard'is Kettle and Marilyn Killian taking part. Ice cream, punch and cake were served. This party was also in honor of Ardis Kettle who is leaving the ward. She was presented a book and all those present inscribe in-scribe their names in it. Mrs. Kettle was the social science teacher teach-er for several years, but the past winter she has been first counselor coun-selor to Norma Johnson. The two oldest ladies of the ward Mrs. Mary Collins and Mrs. Effie Winn, were in attendance; also Mrs. Zina Pearce of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Collins and daughter of Salt Lake City were Ballard visitors during the week at the Ernest Betts and Bishop Collins' homes. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines, daughter daugh-ter Karen and son Jerry, went to Salt Lake City on Friday and visited Mrs. Gines' mother. On Saturday they went to Logan to get their daughter, Patsy, who has been attending school at the USAC. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hollings-worth Hollings-worth visited in Preston, Idaho as soon as school was out. He has returned to be the instructor in kindergarten at Alterra. Mrs. Hollingsworth and small son plan to remain in Preston during the six weeks of kindergarten. Mr. and' Mrs. Junior Jenkins are the very proud parents of a baby boy, born in the Roosevelt Hospital last week. |
