Show License rules for 14 to 20 hunters noted Resident juveniles of ages 15 through 20 years who hunted game in Utah last year should present their 1961 fishing license li-cense when applying for a 1962 hunting or combination hunting and fishing license. The reminder was issued today to-day by the department of fish and game as spokesmen listed the answers to many recent questions concerning the law affecting licensing of juvenile hunters. Under the law all 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 year old persons must either show their 1961 license in evidence that they hunted last year, evidence that they have passed the (regular course in hunter safety and survival training, or evidence of comparable training in the safe handling of firearms. All juveniles between the ages of 14 and 20 years applying apply-ing for their first hunting or combination license must show a certificate in evidence they have successfully passed . the required gun safety training course. License agents may not issue any type hunting license to any juvenile aged 14 through 20 without the required credentials cre-dentials at the time of purchase. pur-chase. The gun safety training program . is available to residents resi-dents throughout the State. Names of the more than 3,500 qualified instructors may be obtained from local fish and game officers or from any license agent. |
