Show Pakistan student addresses club Members of the Pari Passu club spent a delightful evening even-ing Thursday at the home of Mrs. Vera ' Zobell with President Presi-dent Clytie Ransom in charge. Arlena Lofgran read the club collect. Anna Ostlund introduced the speaker of the evening, a 50-year-old exchange student from Pakistan, attending BYU. A vice principal of a teacher's college specializing in physical education, the visitor explained that he had been married 30 years to the same wife and had five children. He was a Moslem and told how his religion re-ligion resembled that of the LDS faith. He gave a history of his country and exhibited samples of clothing, earrings, shawls and photographs. An Easter luncheon was served by the hostess to ten members and guests, Wanda Peay, Aleta Dickerson and Ma-ren Ma-ren Zobell. Next meeting was announced for May 2, to be a Mother's Day program at Barts beginning begin-ning at 7 o'clock. |
