Cedar High offers Mini Courses i forum, conversational Spanish, French reading and culture, film making, high performance, dune ' buggy, shop as you want it, fashion coordination, music improvisation, medical lab techniques, slide photography, and defensive driving. BY KAREN MOORE Mr. Douglas G. Bonzo and Dr. James M. Miller are chairmen of an experimental program at Cedar High School. The. experiment ex-periment is a "mini-course" program to offer enrichment and fun in education. , One student participating stated, "I like the break in routine." For the next nine weeks, students will be excused from regular class each Tuesday to attend the mini-course or courses of their choice. However, attendance is required in either a course or a regular class. Participation is voluntary. Teachers instruct on their own free time, and students may or may not take as many courses as they wish. Guests from outside the school are involved. Mrs. Verl Prest-wich Prest-wich is teaching cake decoration, Mrs. Kent Bishop is instructing students in child development. Dr. David Lee of SUSC is helping students develop creative writing skills; and Mr. R. C. Diedrich, Manager of Utah International, Inc., is teaching a course in mining engineering.
