VIVIAN WILDE KNELL Funeral services for Vivian Wilde Knell of New Castle were held Thursday, Jan. 24 at the New Castle LDS Ward Chapel. Family prayer was offered by Willard H. Lunt. Prelude and postlude music was provided by Nellie Gae Hart. Services were conducted by Bishop Lister Woods with Sterling Tullis giving the invocation. A vocal solo, "One Sweetlv Solemn Thought" was rendered by Nada Gardner accompanied by Norma Christensen. Lorraine Gentry sang "Lead Kindly Light" and she also was accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Christensen. The singing mothers sang "Though Deepening Trials" and they were accompanied by Jeanne Jones. Speakers were Dee Cowan and Shirley Hart. Mason Jones offered the benediction and Robert F. Smith dedicated the grave in the Cedar City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary. ' Vivian Wilde Knell was born June 6, 1910 in Provo, a daughter -of Walter James and Jeannette Lewis Wilde. She married Robert Gordon Knell Dec. 23, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Knell was an active member of the LDS Church serving as President of the New Castle Ward Relief Society and Ward Choister for 37 years. She was a member of the Pink Ladies, BPW Club, American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, New Castle; a son, Michael, of Cedar City; and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kathie) Smith of Bountiful. Also surviving are four grandchildren; a brother, James K. Wilde, Spokane, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Jean (Carole) Pic-coni, Pic-coni, Riverside, Calif. |
