Show INTEREST AROUSED W Y. M7C A. WORK Young: Business Men Who Attended Banquet to James Stokes Will Help Solve Local Problems. The officers of the local branch of the Y. 21. C. A. last night gave a banquet to a small party of prominent business men of the city in honor of James Stokes of New Tork and O. Franke of Frankfort, Germany. Mr. Stokes is the man who became interested in-terested in the work of the Y. M. C. A. and gaVe $230,000 to extend the organization organ-ization and erect homes for the order. or-der. He spoke at length of the good work being accomplished among the young men of the country and explained ex-plained why he had chosen to give his time ana his rortune to the cause. Mr. Franke is an official of the German Ger-man Government who was delegated to this country for the especial purpose of studying the work of the Y. M. C A. He has visited many of the larger cities of the country and is now on his way back to Germany. Short talks about the work of the organization in this community were delivered by F. B. Stephens and Mr. Cox and were successful in arousing the interest of the business men present, pres-ent, for which purpose the banquet was given. In addition to Mr. Stokes, the guest of honor, there were present G. Franke of Frankfort, Germany; Dr. Silver and Messrs.
