Show CONFERENCE ON TRAIN WITH STRIKERS' LEADER Harriman and Boilermaker McNeil May Settle the Troubles on the Union Pacific. ' SAN FRANCISCO, May 13. E. H. Harriman. president of the Southern Pacific, Pa-cific, has left for the East. He was accompanied by General Manager Krutt-schnltt. Krutt-schnltt. who will travel with him part of the way. It was said that President Harriman will' personally take, a; hand in the settlement of the boilermakers' strike on the Union Pacific and that a conference has been arranged between Harriman and National President McNeil of the Bollermakers''union, to be held on Harrlman's train, while he is proceeding East over the Union Pacific. .'It is believed in local railroad circles that Harriman and McNeil will arrive at eom solution of the trouble on the Union Pacific and thus prevent the threatened sympathetic strike of boilermakers on the Southern Pacific lines west of Ogden and El Paso.
