Show : YAIjliBE m C0L15S UP The sales on the stock exchange this morning aggregated 19.362 shares, for which (25,322 was paid. Lower Mammoth continues to monopolise the time of the brokers. This morning about 10,000 shares of the stock changed hands at prices between 11.43 and 11.34. The opening sale was made at $1.40 and the closing at $1.39. v. Carlsa gave evidence of Joining In with the other Tlntlc stocks in their upward up-ward tendency and sold 2500 at 11 cents, with a number of other bids unfilled. Sacramento pushed up to 26 cents; Uncle Sam held at 28V cents, and Star Consolidated closed at 29 cents, although it went down to 28 cents on the regular call. May Day held stationary at 21H cents, with but one sale. Consolidated Mer-cur Mer-cur let 500 go for $1.2. and Daly-Judge got S9.45 for 100 on a seller ten days. Dalv West sold 25 at $47.60; 12 at $47.45. and 25 at $47.47. Yankee Consolidated Jumped to 44 cents during the sale of 200 shares, 100 of them going at 43 cents. Ben Butler made but two sales, one at 13 cents and one at 13 cents. The last of the improvements with which the Daly-Judge " mill is to be equipped, were unloaded on the site yesterday. The mason work preparatory prepara-tory to the installation of the tanks, etc., is completed, and it Is probable that the mill will close down this week while the new equipment is being adjusted. ad-justed. MINING NOTES. The ore and bullion settlements yesterday yes-terday amounted to $55,700. The Conklin sampler received seven cars of ore from Tintic today. The directors of Ajax have levied an assessment of 5 cents a share. A. L. Dlckerman has resigned as general gen-eral manager of the Zinc Plant at Park City. The Daly West treasurer will send out the regular May dividend of $108,000 next Friday. The Utah of Fish Springs marketed one car of ore last night, and has another an-other en route at present. The Carlsa marketed a car of ore yesterday which showed on controls 21.9 per cent copper, 12.5 ounces silver and $2 in gold. The "directors of the Ben Butler and Chicago-Blngham companies have decided de-cided to consolidate their interests and avoid further litigation expenses. The basis of the consolidation will be three shares to the Butler tb the Chicago-Blngham's Chicago-Blngham's one, or of the 500,000 shares of the new company 125,000 will go to the shareholders of the C. St B. and 375,000 to the Ben Butler. The Ben Butler management has called a shareholders' meeting for June 6th, for the ratification of the plan. An assesstnent of of a cent has also been levied to enable the Butler to clear off Its -indebtedness. BIG IMPROVEMENT IN CABISA'S ORE OUTPUT. .The many shareholders of Carlsa stock feel greatly elated over the recent showing made at that property. The last consignment of ore reached the market yesterday and was settled for on a basis of 21.9 per cent copper, 12.5 ounces silver, and $2 gold to the ton. This shipment was all taken from the upper workings which are now being operated by lessees. The outlook in the lower workings of the mine is even better, bet-ter, one lot of ore recently extracted showing as high as 45 per cent copper. FUNDS WILL BE READY TO BUILD THE SMELTER, BOSTON, Mass.. May 13. At a meeting of the Boston Consolidated Mining company, com-pany, held In London, it was agreed that E. E. Abercrombie and F. A. Schlrmer, representing the Boston Interests, should be added to the board of directors of the American, or operating, company, and that Mr. Schlrmer should be elected treasurer treas-urer of the American company. Mr. Schlrmer says that shareholders need not feel that they will be aasesaed or asked .to give up any of their stock In order to build the smelter. When the time comes funds will be forthcoming without dlffi- , gulty. |
