Show THIRTY-NINE YOUNG PEOPLE COMPLETE HIGH SCHOOL WORK COMMENCEMENT FOR THREE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOLS IS HELD This week, thirty-nine fine young men and women, recent students in Beaver county high schools, received from the hand of County Superintendent Superin-tendent John C. Carlisle, diplomas certifying that they had completed the courses prescribed for graduation. Graduation exercises, with appropriate ap-propriate programs, were held Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Thursday and Friday of this week, at Minersville, Milford and Beaver, respectively. Dr. R. 0. Porter, of the State University Medical Medi-cal School, delivered the Commence-mnt Commence-mnt address at each place. MINERSVILLE The following program was given at the Minersville High School Wednesday, Wed-nesday, when eight young men and women received their diplomas in recognition of their having completed complet-ed the high school course: Tres Jolie E. Waklteufel, H. S. Orchestra; Entry of Graduates, Class; Invocation, H. F. Baker; Our Old High, High School Chorus; Salutatory, Saluta-tory, Vilda Murdock; Prognostication, Henry Hall; Vocal duet Out of the Dusk, Marcine and Theo Davis; Valedictory, Vale-dictory, Winnie LeFevre; Cornet solo-, Jupiter, Polke Petite, Stanley Johnson; John-son; Commencement address, Dr. R. 0. Porter, U. of U. Medical School; Snow, Elgar, Girls' Chorus; Presentation Presenta-tion of Diplomas, George Marshall, Board member; Presentation of special speci-al awards, Supt. J. C. Carlisle; Benediction, Bene-diction, H. F. Baker. The list of graduates is as follows: Wallace Osborne, Vilda Murdock, Burton Bur-ton Banks, Newell Marhall, DeWayne Carter, Winnie LeFevre, Henry Hall and Delos Baker Superintendent Carlisle presented Newell Marshall with the Ail-Round Athletic Medal, offered by Coach Stanley McKnight. Wallace Osborne was given the Barton Citizenship award. MILFORD Five boys and four girls were graduated from the Milford High School, with graduation exercises held at the auditorium last night. An excellent program was given with musical numbers rendered by the high school band and orchestra, school chorus, Dr. C. R. Parrish and Estelle Nebeker. The addresses of the evening were as follows: Salutatory, Phyllis Levi; Valedictory, Valedic-tory, Wallace Moore; Address to Graduates, Dr. R. 0. Porter of the School of Medicine, University of Utah. Principal T. C. Heaton then presented pre-sented the graduates who were given their diplomas by County Superintendent Superinten-dent John C. Carlisle. The graduates are as follows: William Cochrane, Olive Johnson, Mildred Killam, Phyllis Levi, Walter McCulley, Wallace Moore, Ross Patterson, Pat-terson, Max Root, Alice Ward. Wallace Moore was awarded the Citizenship Medal for service to his school. This was offered by John Barton, President of the County Hoard of Education. Winners of the Prize Essay Con-t Con-t 3st sponsored by the Milford Business and Professional Women's club, will be announced later. BEAVER Graduation exercises at Beaver high school will be held this evening in ;he school auditorium at the county : eat. Twenty-two young people are members of this years' senior class :nd will be given their diplomas by bounty Superintendent John C. Carlisle. Car-lisle. Don Carlow is class valedictorian, and Miss Zola Smith is salutatorian. |
