Show TAKE BUMPS OUT OF SIDE STREET About five loads of gravel were placed this week on the street going by the postoffice. The street was in very poor shape and much complaining com-plaining has been done about its condition. con-dition. Town Trustee L. G. Clay, stated that just a minimum of gravel would be placed on the street only sufficient suffi-cient to put the road in good condition condi-tion temporarily, and to silence complaints. com-plaints. The reason for this, he said, was because Main street at present was six inches higher than it should be, and"will have to be leveled down accordingly, pi-eliminary to paving. The dirt will have to be disposed of in some way, and as it is a very fine gravel material, it will be used to permanently improve the side streets. Meanwhile, there will be just as little graveling done as can be got along with. |
