WOMEN SAY THAT MEN LIKE ' Most vegetables except carrots, egg-plant and sometimes spinach. But they like them plain with butter, not camouflaged unless you break them into liking sauces gradually. B'-ans of all kinds are favorites; peas, corn, tomatoes and cabbage. One woman wo-man whose husband insisted that he was not hard to please told us that when she asked him what vegetables : he did like replied, "Cabbage, cold ! slaw and sauerkraut!" Fortunately cabbage in any form is considered a particularly healthy vegetable if well cooked. Salads are much better liked by men than ten years ago. Most men do not like all salads but most men ! like some salads plain greens with their own pet drc.,,ing. They don't j like a salad rival yn. Except a few of the younger sons. Fresh fish is liked, particularly if j fried with a crisp crust. I Some men do not like aspics but I usually have one kind that they do j like.
