Show loka Mrs. Bertha Angus Mrs. Violet Gentry Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fausett made a trip to Vernal, Monday. Don and Glen Snyder, of Myton, My-ton, visited in loka Thursday evening. Mrs. Henry Nelson and daughter, daugh-ter, Maxihe, shopped in Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Thursday. Mrs. Joseph Harris and children chil-dren spent Wednesday with Mrs. Harris parents, Mx. and Mrs. Emil Anderson. Ray Jones, Henry Nelson and Russell Robison made a trip to the mountains to get out lumber. Albert Marchant, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, was in loka, Friday on business. bus-iness. Gam Lloyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd, and Junior Fausett, Fau-sett, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fausett, have been called on a mission for the L.D.S. church. They expect to enter the Mission school in ; Salt Lake City, the middle of. December. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Zobell and granddaughter, Pearl Zobell, of Provo, visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Zobell and family, last weekend. ' R. L. -Neilson, Murel Benson and Elvin'Bascom, of Roosevelt, visited with the Genealogical committee here Sunday. Mrs. Lila French and son, Far-rell, Far-rell, and ;Mrs. Joy Mower, of Salt Lake' City, were weekend guests of Mrs. French's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Webb. Mrs. Geneave Carruth and son, Grant, returned with them for a two-weeks' two-weeks' visit. Mrs. Clarence Salee and children, chil-dren, of Ogden, visited relatives here over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Webb received word of the birth of a daughter to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Webb, -at Vernal. Gam Lloyd, who is working in Salt Lake, spent the weekend at home. Amy Lou Lloyd and Vern Peterson, Pet-erson, of Salt Lake City, visited relatives here last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Percival and children and Mrs. Thelma Robison arid children, visited in Bluebell, Sunday, with Mrs. Rob- ison's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Goodrich, and with Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook and family. Mrs. Eva Percival and children chil-dren and Mrs. Bertha Angus visited Mrs. Glenn Remund and family, Thursday. They also visited in Duchesne. Willis Loury and Claud Rich-ens Rich-ens are. building a dairy bam at Altonah. They flew to Salt Lake City for needed material last week. Mr. Loury purchased a truck and Mr. Richens hauled the material back, while Mr. and Mrs. Loury returned by plane. Mr. Fullmer, principal of the Circleville school, spent the weekend here on business. Mr. Fullmer is part owner of the Tebbs and Fullmer ranch here. Gean Mansor is ranch manager. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Angus visited vis-ited their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook, at Bluebell, Tuesday. Ioka's first organized choir was formed in September with Gladys Drollinger, president; Garrett Stone, vice president; Genevieve Carruth, secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, and Gertrude Russell, accompanist. Practice has been held each week with a gradual increase in membership until the choir now numbers 30 voices. |
