Show Altonah Mrs. Ethel Beeba Jesse A. Fowler pat a fresh coat of paint on his store and home during the week and Harold Har-old Fowler has put brick siding on his house. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Guyman and daughter, of Vernal, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe on Sunday. Mrs. Alice Swasey and Mrs. Hannah Oman, of Boneta, visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll. Austin Beebe, of Salem, was in Altonah Sunday. Niel Maxfield, who is attending attend-ing school in Price, spent the weekend at home. Edward Anderson and Frank Taylor, of Salt Lake City, general gener-al authorities from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, were in Altonah Thursday, Thurs-day, selecting a site for a new church house. Ronald and Jay Stone, sons of Mr. arid Mrs. Arvel Stone, of Duchesne, stayed with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Smith, while their parents attended Teachers' Instate in Salt Lake City last weekend. Dallas Ames went to Roosevelt Roose-velt Friday to start work on a new home for James Leonakis. The Relief Society started winter meetings Tuesday with 15 members present. Out of town visitors at Sunday i School included Joseph Swasey, a High Councilman ;from Mtn. Home; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Clark, of Bonanza, and Mr. and Mrs. Orson Paige, of Kamas. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett and son, Bob, visited Thursday in Bluebell at the home of their son, Marian. - ' Mr. and Mrs. Hans Jacobson returned from Salt Lake City during the week. Mr. Jacobson has been under a doctor's care there for several weeks. |
