Show Fans Go Wild As Close Game Goes to Beaver More than 1,000 fans were at Palomar both Friday and Saturday Satur-day nights for the round robin games to decide who took second sec-ond place berth in the state Class B basketball tournament. Originally Original-ly scheduled to play at Hinckley, the round robin was changed Thursday to the Delta hall, where several hundred more spectators could be seated. Friday night Beaver won from Cedar, and Hinckley won from Kanab. Saturday night Beaver won from Hinckley, by a score of 35-30, after af-ter a hard-fought close game that had fans on their toes, on their seats, and finally on their ears. First quarter, 8 each; second quar-er, quar-er, 1618, for Hinckley; third guar ter, evehteven, 25-25. Then Beaver Beav-er took the lead, ending 5 points ahead of the plucky Mustangs. Cedar took consolation honors in the meet with a 57-50 victory over Kanab. Kanab had the lead at the half, 27 over their 18. In the 3 and 4th quarters, Cedar shot ahead, to 47, and then the winning 57, with Kanab coming up fast to 50. The students of the Delta high school wish to express their appreciation ap-preciation for the following letter received from the Millard high school sch-ool Student Body.
