Show -ri luuaing aucci rany irum v.ov to 10 a. m. Tuesday morning was a send-off for the Rabbits before their departure for the state Class B tournament. Riding on a large float, decorated decorat-ed in red and white and encircled in romping rabbits, the team was escorted down Clark Street by the Delta high school band and Pep Club uniformed in red and white. The student body followed, and townspeople and cars lined the side walk. A half-hour program was held in the middle of the block, with songs, stunts and series of cheers, led by the cheer leaders. June W. Black made a short talk, voicing local appreciation of the team and their victories, and wishing them success in their state games. The Rabbits first game is Wednesday Wed-nesday at 12, playing Richfield. Many Deltans and DHS students left Delta early to be on hand at that event. GoM and Green Stake Ball will Be March 26 "Underneath the Arches" will be the interesting theme for the Stake Gold and Green Ball to be held in the Palomar Hall on Saturday, Satur-day, March 26. Plans are under way to make this one of the best dances of the season. A novel idea is being carried out here early in the evening by the Grand Entry of each ward Queen and her attendants as they were in their home wards. This is to be done at 9:00 p. m. sharp. The choosing of the stake Queen will be done differently that has been done in the past. Since this ball will be a ticket affair this year, tickets being 75c, the queen for the stake will be the ward queen of the ward having the great est percentage of their population at the dance. Her attendants will be queens of the other wards. Mr. and Mrs. Talmage Christen-sen Christen-sen have in charge the floor show for the evening. Evelyn Robinson is chairman of the queens and their entry; Ruth Hansen and Will-ard Will-ard Stephensen head the decorating decorat-ing committee; Harriet Spendlove and Sebrina Ekins are in charge of publicity, while Lyle Bunker is General Chairman of the affair. All members of the stake board are helping with the plans and the decorations for this elaborate dance |
