Show SUIT FOR WAGES OPENS IN COURT The case of W. W. Ruby against James J Cude and James J. Cude & Co.. seeking to recover $1275. began in Judge George S. Barker's division of the district cAurt this morning. In his complaint Mr Ruby sets forth that on February 25, 1920, the defendant borrowed $1000 and during the first four months of 1920 he performed services of locating and staking oil Claims ami holds his labors to bo worth $275. He asks Judgment for entire amount In answer to the complaint Mr. Cude-denies Cude-denies many of the allegations con-; talned and Insists that it was an asso-j ciation of persons and not himself who) contracted for the services of Mr Ruby. He sets forth that an agree-i ment was made to pay $200 and $75 v. as paid the plaintiff, who failed to perforin the services as agreed. Mr. j Cude asks dismissal of the case. |
