This linen closet can be a great space saver in any home. Plans are designed for an area 24 inches deep with a standard door of 34 inches by 80 inches high. Specifications, however, can easily be adapted, to fit other closet areas. Sides of this closet are lined with 316-inc- h hardboard. Pro-per alignment can be assured by inserting a filler block of the same wood along the door stop, so when the liner is in place it will be flush with the stop. Liners are supported with -- inch boards in corners and midway along the closet wall. Maple drawer slides are placed at proper intervals and screwed through hardboard into wooden supports. Drawers are of simple construction and utilize snag-pro- of bottoms of 316-inc- h hardboard. It is wise to allow ample space on each side of drawers so they run smoothly. Design and handles are added by notching the center of each drawer with a portable electric jig saw. which can do all cut-ting. Plans for the closet include specifications for a rollaway hamper, which makes another fine spare-tim- e project. The latest offi-cial figures available (1958) show that 4,501 children were the victims of motor vehicle accidents. Drivers are killing and crippling more children than any disease more than cancer, more than polio, more than heart ailments. This is, in effect, an epidemic, and there is something we can do about it. The record shows that where traffic laws are strictly enforced and obeyed, deaths go down. Remember, a car is one of the most dangerous places your child can be. So drive with loving care and protect your loved ones and yourself. Go on record by letting local law en-forcement agencies know that you support strict law enforce-ment.
