Show Guardsmen take 2-week course Army National Guard Sergeant Ser-geant First Class Richard C. Carter and Specialist Four Donald K. Miner of Springville, Spring-ville, participated in Exercise Mesa Drive, a two-week joint Army-Air Force training maneuver man-euver recently conducted at the Yakima (Wash.) Firing Center. Sergeant Carter, 32, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Carter, 75 S. Eighth E., is a platoon sergeant ser-geant in the 116th Engineer Company ,an Army National Guard unit which was recalled recal-led to active duty and assigned assign-ed to Fort Lewis, Wash. He was employed by the U. S. Steel Corporation, Geneva, before be-fore going on active duty. The sergeant is a graduate of Springville High School. His wife, Lou Jene is With him at Fort Lewis. Specialist Miner, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff K. Miner, 839 S. Second E., is an automotive auto-motive mechanic in the 115th Ordnance Company, an Army National Guard unit which was recalled to active duty and assigned as-signed to Fort Lewis, Wash. He was graduated from the Springville High School in 1956 and was associated with Jeff Miner Company before going on active duty. |
