Show LYNNDYL BY MARY IQHNSON Solomon and Robert Angell of Provo were visitors in town Saturday. Sat-urday. They were dinner guests at the Irving Nielson home. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McMahon and Sharon drove down from Salt Lake City to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Faile Huddle-ston Huddle-ston and Mrs. Anna McMahon. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pendray and sons, Bob, and Jimmy, were Provo shoppers Saturday. Mrs. Lloyd Christensen of Hol-den Hol-den came over and stayed the weekend at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Overson, caring for the family while Mr. and Mrs. Overson, with Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Maxfield drove to Lyman, Ly-man, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Howlett of Kanosh, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Dutson and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Whatcott of, Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Darold Whatcott and Mr. and Mrs. Garth Whatcott of Salt Lake City. Miss Shirely Sherrif, Miss Velda Sherriff and Lyman Porter were Salt Lake visitors over the weekend. week-end. Miss Lilac Christensen from May field is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield Mr. and Mrs. George Memmott and children from Vancouver, Washington, formerly of Lynndyl and Leamington were visitors at the Lawrence Bradfield home. All enjoyed their rest very much. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Bradfield of Leamington celebrated their fortieth for-tieth wedding anniversary on April 10th. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield Brad-field and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Lam-bright Lam-bright went up and had chicken dinner and presented them with gifts and a beautiful wedding cake. Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield and Mrs. Opal Lambright were Nephi visitors Monday. Mrs. Cheryl Roper was hostess at a lovely party Saturday night. Her geiists were former school mates LuJuana Pearson, ElDonna Anderson, Helen Wright, Barbara Christensen, Helen Anderson, Carol Erickson and LaVon Barney. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dutson and baby daughter, Robin, were visitors vis-itors at the homes of their parents the first part of the week, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and Mr. and Mrs. John Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury of Redlands, Calif, spent several days here visiting friends and to get the remainder of their belongings. be-longings. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen, son Rex, and Gladys Banks drove to St. Anthony, Idaho, Thursday to Visit Mr. Abegglen's mother on her eightyfourth birthday. They return ed Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Coleman and family and Mr. and Mrs. Junius Juni-us Anderson were Sunday visitors at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Coleman. Miss Colleen Nielson was home Saturday. Sunday visitors at the Roy Nielson Niel-son home were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cherrington and family of Spinrg-ville. Spinrg-ville. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Boyle and little daughter spent Saturday here with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Great house and family. Mrs. Norine Shields visited in Oak City with her brother, Julian, who is ill again at this time. The baseball clubs are all organ ized and now getting in trim for a big season ahead the Seniors, Juniors and Pee Wees. Vernon Roper who has been home for the past two months, has been called back to work. He left for Milford Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Dutson flew down from Provo Thursday. The wind kept them from returning Friday. Earl Greathouse was a Salt Lake visitor Friday. Miss Nola Nielson returned with him to spend the weekend. Sunday evening services were under the direction of Priesthood and LDS Girls leaders. President Warren Henderson and Lloyd S. Schlappi, Mrs. Inez Moody and Mrs. Cora Wood were stake Visitors. Visit-ors. Awards were given to eighteen eigh-teen young people. Talks were given giv-en by Don Greathouse, Velda Sher iff, with a song from each group and a saxophone solo by Clinton Roper, accompanied by Lu Jean Roper. A large crowd attended. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury of Redlands California, former residents re-sidents of Lynndyl were week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Huddleston. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Louis Woodbury and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Huddleston were dinner guests at the A. D. Hayes home. After visiting friends of Lynndyl and Leamington Mr. and Mrs. Woodbury left for Hurricane where they will visit Mr. Woodbury's parents par-ents before returning to their home in California. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Huddleston Huddle-ston received word from their son Robert, now in the U. S. Air Force at Camp Stoneman, Calif waiting to be sent overseas. Robert has been attending Tech Training School as powerman the past 18 weeks at Fort Warren Wyo., Graduating in April with excellent rating. Before being sent to Camp Stone man, Robert spent a three weeks furlough home in Salt Lake with his parents and friends. |
