Show Power Firm Plans More Expansion For 1950 Program Continuing the post war expansion expan-sion program which to date has cost almost $1,000,000 the board of directors of Telluride Power Company has just authorized additional ad-ditional expenditures of $300,000 for 1950 according to an announcement announce-ment by Paul P. Ashworth, general manager of the company with heaquarters in Richfield. The major ma-jor items of work to be done include in-clude increasing the capacity of transmission lines serving Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and the Garkane Power Assn. (REA). additional automatic automat-ic control equipment at various points; expansion of the distribution distribu-tion systems in all of the communities commun-ities served; installation of several White Way street lighting systems; sys-tems; and the purchose and installation in-stallation of accounting machines for a central billing departmtns As in the past, the Company will use exclusievly its own skilled workmen and other local help, and will purchase local materials in so far as possible, Mr. Ashworth states. The records of the company show that the total demand for electric services has more than doubled in the past five years, evidencing the progessiveness of the people in the area served. |
