Show Shearing' Wage Scale Is Same This Year as Last The 1934 shearing wage was 11 cents per head and board furnished. Several state Wool Growers Associations Associ-ations signed an agreement with the Sheep Shearers on the above price during 1934. The shrteip shearers wage for shearing sheep during the spring of 1935 is also 11 cents per head and board furnished. Several state Wool Growers Associations have agreed to pay the 11 cent scale. In the opinion of some, the immediate im-mediate future outlook for lamb and wool does not justify reducing the 1935 shearing wage below the 1934 level of 11 cents. This is also in line with the policy of the Administration Ad-ministration at Washington to raise wages and no lower them. |
