Show BUSH ID Hi IN "II PI OF CUPIDS" UTAH THEATRE Francis X. Bushman and Beverly Bayne were seen last night in "A Pair of Cupids," a delightful cdniody-drama cdniody-drama which opened a three-days' engagement en-gagement at the Ulah theater. These two popular Metro stars were hi their element in the roles provided for them in this their latest vehicle. Tho play was written expressly for tho co-stars by Luther A. Reed and was piclurizcd by the noted director Charles J. Bra-bin. Bra-bin. The story centers around a beautiful beauti-ful young society girl who is pleasure-mad, pleasure-mad, and who devotes her entire timo to clothes and gaieties of all descriptions, descrip-tions, and a young business man who has no other thought in life but work. The uncle of Peter, is also the guardian guar-dian of Virginia and it is his dearest wish in life to seo the two young people peo-ple married. They both detest, however, how-ever, the predominating qualities possessed pos-sessed by the other, and are barely polite when they meet. This does not, by any means, daunt Uncle Henry, and he devises a most original scheme with which to awaken interest and sympathy in the two young people. The unique situations are cleverly handled by Mr. Bushman and Miss BajTie, and the comedy which ensues is refreshingly new and entertaining. There is not an uninteresting moment in the entire performance and the clever cast which supports Mr. Bushman Bush-man and Miss Bayne wero admirably chosen for the respective parts in I which they appear. |
