Show EUREKA BOY FLYING AT FRONT IN FRANCE EUREKA, Aug. 11. David Mills tes received a letter from Harold Shrlvcr ' son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Shrlver cf this city stating that just recently be had received his "wings" and Is no in active service on the French front. Mr. Shriver writes that ho already has had many thrilling experiences In the air, and says that he is immensely' pleased with his work. Mr. Shriver enlisted en-listed in the aviation service in .Mar. 1917. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Franke this weefc received the first communication La several months from their son, John Franke, who has been on overseas duty since last October. The Icttei stated that during the past five months Mr. Franke had been sick and con- fined to a hospital, but now is appar ently well. The young man states that during his convalescing period he was permitted to travel about quite a bit and that he has visited many places of interest, n I |
