Show !' N Chicago Quotations V J CHICAGO, Aug. 12. Corn developed strength today after something of a downturn at the start. Initial declines were due to reports of scattered showers, show-ers, but opinion gained ground that the moisture supplied was inadequate and that higher temperatures might mean additional crop damage. Lightness of receipts tended also to favor the bulls. Opening prices, which ranged from to lc advance with September Sl.SSMs to 1.59 and October $1.59 to 1.60 were followed by substantial gains .ill around. Oats like corn rallied a small break. Big arrivals, however, led to a fresh sag. The market opened y& to c lower, low-er, with September 67i to 6Sc, recovered recov-ered to Saturday's finish, and then gradually declined. Higher quotations on hogs gave firmness to provisions. Pork, though was neglected. CHICAGO MARKETS. Open High Low Close Corn. Sept. 1.58 1.62 1.516 1.62 Oct. 1.59 1.63 1.59 1.63 U Oats-Sept.
