Quotations of ocean freight rates on wheat from New York to Liverpool averaged 7.5 cents per bushel during 1914, the high rates of tho latter part of tho year being offset partly by low rates In the other months. During 1913 tho averngo was 5.6 cents; in 1912, 7 7 cents; in 1911, 4.2 cents, and for tho flvo years 1900-1910 tho aver-ago aver-ago was 3.3 cents. In Juno, 1915, tho quotations reached 26 cents per bushel. bush-el. Ocean freight on wheat from Argentina Ar-gentina to tho United Kingdom reached reach-ed 45 cents per bushol In April, 1915. Ocean freight rates on wheat from Portland, Ore, to the United Kingdom King-dom "for orders" averaged nbout 22.5 cents per bushel during tho season from Septembor 1, 1914, to May 31, 1915; tho average for tho corresponding correspond-ing period in 1913-14 was 23.9 cents.
