Show SUGAR SACKS ARE NOT BATHING SUITS, SAYS JUDGE That bathing suits are the only proper apparel for bathers in the rivers riv-ers in and near Ogden, was inferred by Judge Reedor this morning in handing down a decision against Clinton Clin-ton Driscoll and Thomas Wallace who were charged with indecent exposure. They were alleged In the complaint to have been bathing in the Ogden river, at a point a short distance of tho ford on Twentieth street and Gibson avenue, without being clothed. Each of tho two men was given a ten-day sentenco with the alternative of paying a $10 fino and the case against Dan Driscoll, who was arrested ar-rested with them, was dismissed, Tho witnesses for the prosecution were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Raridan and Peter Hannos and their testimony bore out tho allegations of the complaint. com-plaint. Clinton Driscoll claimed to have been wearing a sugar sack and Wallace a pair of small overalls, but this apparel, the judge stated, even though their statements might be truo, waB entirely Insufficient to prevent pre-vent their conviction. |
