Show FAIL TO ADOPT V01 LAI i Salt Lake, Aug. 11. The national conference of commissioners on uniform uni-form state laws decided last night to abandon efforts to secure the adoption adop-tion by the present conference ot the proposed uniform incorporation act. The bill has been before the conference confer-ence for two days and only a little more than half of it has been considered. consid-ered. Because of the large number of amendments presented the commissioners commis-sioners reached the conclusion last night that it would be impossible to reach an agreement on a draft which they would recommend to the various vari-ous state legislatures. 'The conference last night voted to lay aside for the present the consideration consid-eration of this measure and to return to It later in the session that some of the remaining sections may bo considered con-sidered with a view to giving to the committee the views of -the commissioners commis-sioners on the remainder of the bill. Plan to Recommit. Judge Henry Stockbridge of Baltimore Balti-more moved last night that the measure meas-ure be recommitted to the committee on corporation laws with instructions to prepare a Bixth tentative draft of the measure for submission to the con-ference con-ference In 91G, H0 withdrew his motion mo-tion temporarily, however, on learning that it might be possible for the conference con-ference to go over some of the remain re-main sections of the bill some time later in the session. nn V |
