Show THOMAS. R. ODGERS DIES OF INJURIES Salt Lake, Aug. 12. Thomas Roy Odgers, aged 29 years and 9 months, received fatal injuries Monday noon at Odgers Brothers' ranch, Cherry Creek. Nev., by the 'fall of a derrick arm from the haystacker, dying Tuesday Tues-day morning at 3:30 without regaining regain-ing consciousness. The body was brought yesterday to Salt Lake where his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas V. Ogders, reside, at 267 South Tenth East street. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the mortuary mor-tuary chapel of S. D. Evans, under the auspices of Mount Morlah lodge, F. & A. M. Interment will be in the City cemetery. Mr. Ogders was married only six weeks ago to MIbs Margaret Frances Leishman of Cherry Creek. Their home was at the Ogders ranch where tho fatal accident occurred. The heartbroken bride and the three "brothers "bro-thers of the young man accompanied the body to Salt Lake. Ing hay by the use of a derrick when one of the cables broke and a heavy arm fell a distance of twenty feet, striking him on the head and fracturing fractur-ing his skull. He was at once, removed re-moved to his home at the ranch, physicians phy-sicians were summoned and everything every-thing possible done to restore consciousness, con-sciousness, to no avail. The young man was a native of White Pine county and had resided in or near Cherry Creek all of his life. A few years ago his mother and fa ther moved to Salt Lake, where thej have since made their home. The three brothers associated with Mr Odgers in the ownership and operation op-eration of the ranch at Cherry Creek are Milton, Carl and William Odgers. The young victim of the accident wan a member of the grand lodge of Nevada, Ne-vada, F & A. M , at whose request the ML Moriah lodge will conduct the funeral. oo |
