Show Forest Official Asks That Camp Sites Be Cleaned In past years many filthy and unsightly camps have been left along the scenic Vernal-ManiJa highway, according to Forest Supervisor Wm. D. Hurst. To prevent a recurrence of this condition, hunters are ursed to keep their campground clean and to be sure their cam pf ire is out before leaving it unattended. Camps are easy to' keep clean. There' is no excuse for anyone leaving a dirty camp. The fallowing fal-lowing rules, if followed, will insure; in-sure; a .fire-free camping trip, and will leave the area inviting to the visitors who will follow. 1. Dig1 a' garbage pit at the time" camp is ' established. 2r Biirri all inflammable waste such as1 papers', boxes, etc. in the campfire.. . 3. Place all tin cans and nori-burnable nori-burnable refuse in the Garbage pit. . 4. Cover up the garbage pit when' you break camp. . 5. Don't mar or deface green timber. Let it live in its natural state. 6. Put your campfire out before'' be-fore'' leaving camp. This practice-may save your camp from destruction, as well as prevent a forest fire |
