Show Opens At 12 Noon .... Sportsmen Poise For Pheasant Opening Hundreds of Utah scatter-gun artists will decend upon the fields of the Uintah Basin next Saturday morning to be on hand at 12 o'clock noon when tne fall opening of the upland bird season officially gets underway. Reports from the various parts of the Basin indicate that this year's hunt should be a fairly good one. Field reports and recent re-cent surveys indicate that generally gen-erally throughout Utah there is 'an abundance of pheasants, an I announcement that is appreciat-led appreciat-led by sportsmen. I The season will close Tuesday, (Nov 6, at 5:30 p. m. Each day's (shooting for the 3Vi day season will begin at 7 a. m. and last until 5:30 p. m., with the exception excep-tion of the noon opening on the ! first day. , . Average shooting m past years has resulted in each of the 100.-000 100.-000 or more hunters going afield bagging 2.6 birds per season. The forecast this year is for nearly 300,000 pheasants to wind up on the dining room table.
