Show Colleen Blanchard Conference Held By Relief Society Relief Society held its conference con-ference Sunday night. Stake visitors vis-itors were Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. John Gilbert, Roosevelt. Speakers were Vervil Blanchard. Laura Thompson, Golda Adams Ha Larsen, Rita Hamblin, Beth Brown and Annie Alexander. A chorus sang "How Gentle God's Commands," and "Dear to the Heart of The Shephard." Mr. and Mrs. Keith Shephard, of Salt Lake, visited recently with the Reed Andertons. Mrs. Vervel Blanchard visited in Salt Lake Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Moreland Thompson, of Providence, Utah, visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson last week. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mower and family visited in Provo and Salt Lake Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Parry have received word that their son, Connell, has been transferred trans-ferred from Japan to Korea. A birthday party in honor of C. A. Brown was held at his home last week. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Art Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Crow visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Coston and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Swisher, at Alterra, last week. Vic Brown made a business trip to Salt Lake during the week. Rudy Murillo, of Susanville, arrived this week to take his family home. They have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Newt Miller. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson, Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Blanchard and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Blanchard left Monday for Susanville, Cal., to visit Wesley Blanchard and family. Wm. H. Blanchard went with them as far as Salt Lake, where he will visit his sister, Mrs. Mary Pace, who is ill. Miss Valene Adams visited at the Max Nelson home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown visited vis-ited in Duchesne last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Loranger were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Crow last week. Bill Blanchard accompanied Johnny Keel to Currant Creek Monday to hunt deer. Howard Crapo visited rela tives in Fillmore during the hunting season. Mr. . and Mrs. Max Burdick and Mrs. Dora Burdick visited the Crows last week. Pat Ferguson visited at the Lee Blanchard home Sunday morning. He brought Vervil Blanchard home from Salt Lake. Darrell, Harry Lee and JoAnn Gagon are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Blanchard while their mother is ill. The Relief Society held a social so-cial science session Tuesday, with the lesson given by Rita Hamblin. Colleen Blanchard was baby tender for the day. |
